For Physicians
The Columbia Human Rights Initiative connects volunteer physicians (including fellows), psychologists, and licensed clinical social workers with clients seeking asylum in the United States. Our work is the result of collaboration with Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) and the Columbia Law School.
Asylum seekers seen in our clinic have included clients fleeing persecution due to LGBTQIA+ status, domestic abuse, torture, and other forms of discrimination. No experience is necessary. We invite you to learn more about our training opportunities.
