Dr. Jacqueline Montes

Dr. Jacqueline Montes has been promoted to the academic rank of Professor. During her 4-year tenure as Associate Professor, she has demonstrated remarkable scholarly accomplishments. She has published 25 new peer-reviewed publications, is actively engaged in serving on 3 EdD and 3 PhD dissertation committees and received grants sponsored by foundations and industry for clinical research, and 5 new continuing medical education grants. 

Dr. Montes alongside, Dr. Damiano Zanotto, an engineer at Stevens Institute, was recently awarded $2,067,567 from the NIH/NICHD for their multicentered project entitled Establishing Walking-related Digital Biomarkers in Rare Childhood Onset Progressive Neuromuscular Disorders. This is her first successful R01, the highly coveted and historically oldest of the NIH grant mechanisms.
