The following dates provide an overview of the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) process. They occur during students' third and fourth years.
November - April (3rd year): Students meet with the senior associate dean for student affairs to do the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) interview and career counseling.
July - early September (3rd to 4th year): Residency applications are completed and submitted.
Sept. 15 (4th year): Students register for the Main Residency Match.
Oct. 1 (4th year): MSPEs are submitted to hospital program directors as dictated by the national deadline.
November - January (4th year): Students Interview at hospital programs.
Third week in February (4th year): Student rank order lists are due at NRMP as are hospital rank order lists.
Third Friday in March (4th year): Match Day occurs and NRMP announces results.
