Scholarship Special Requirements

AOTA E. K. Wise Scholarship

Open to qualified female applicants who are current members of the American Occupational Therapy Association. 

American Heart Association 

Offered to medical students conducting research in cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, and stroke. 

Burke Rehabilitation Hospital

Awarded to occupational therapy students entering final year. 

Health Careers Scholarship 

Offered to students who have completed at least two years of study. May re-apply for three academic years and must be in good academic standing. 

Hispanic Scholarship Fund 

Need-based. Offered to students of Hispanic heritage.  

Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago 

Need-based. Open to Jewish students who were born and raised in Chicago or employed full-time for one year in Chicago metropolitan area. 

Korean American Scholarship Foundation 

Need-based. Open to Korean American students who are enrolled full-time. 

Navy Occupational Therapy Scholarship 

Open to all occupational therapy students and residents. 

Organization of American States Professional Development Scholarships 

Several scholarship opportunities offered to students who are citizens or permanent residents of member states of OAS. 

Pat Tillman Foundation

Open to military service members, veterans or spouses who are applying to be a full-time student pursuing a graduate or professional degree for the upcoming fall/spring academic year.  Go to website for eligibility requirements.

Paul Ambrose Scholars Program 

Offered to Paul Ambrose scholars who are occupational therapy students.

Roothbert Fund Scholarship

Merit-based. Open to all in the U.S. and those who consider careers in education. 

Rowe Fund of the Organization of American States 

Loan repayment program open to OAS members. 

STEP For Leaders 

Need-based. 

NYC Board of Education 

Agree to accept employment as full-time Occupational Therapists with the New York City Department of Education in areas of high need as determined at the discretion of the program Supervisor upon obtaining your New York State license.
