Ophthalmology Interest Group

Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eyeball and orbit. An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye disease. The Ophthalmology Interest Group brings together medical students interested in careers as eye physicians.

Benefits

Our mission goals are to:

  • Give medical students the opportunity to learn about the field of ophthalmology.
  • Help interested medical students become involved in the field through shadowing and research experience.
  • Attend and participate in national conferences.
