Summer Opportunities and Global Health

VP&S Summer Opportunities

The summer at the end of the first year of medical school is an important time, as it is the last extended period that is unscheduled during medical school and thus offers students many options to pursue.

While there are no requirements for summer, many students choose to spend part or most of the summer in activities related to their medical education. Other students choose to spend the summer working near home, traveling, or in other activities not related to medical school. We encourage students to follow their passion in whatever they choose to do.

Here at VP&S, we offer a multitude of programs and additional opportunities you can apply to around the country. Our VP&S Summer Coursework page has up-to-date information that gives current students information on programs here on the CUIMC campus and across the nation.

Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Summer Opportunities

Looking for additonal summer research, clinical, global, community health, health policy, or service opportunities at another U.S. medical school or abroad? Current students are welcome to visit the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Careers in Medicine (CiM) page for additional resources.
