Recap of Spinal Muscular Atrophy: Evaluation and Management for the Rehabilitation Specialist, held October 20 and 21, 2017 at CUIMC

The purpose of this conference was to (1) educate health providers on the broad phenotypic spectrum of pediatric and adult SMA, the natural history of the disease, recent updates to the standards of care, standardized clinical outcome measures and the implications of approved and investigational therapies, and (2) to prepare clinicians outside of specialized SMA centers to manage rehabilitation care and administer and monitor progress using standardized SMA clinical assessments.
