Opportunities for Students
The Program for Education in Global and Population Health offers a variety of international as well as domestic educational opportunities in the fields of: language immersion, clinical rotation, program development and evaluation, and research.
The Summer Abroad Program provides summer global and population health immersion experiences for students across all four schools of Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC).
Through hands-on 8-week placements, students will have the opportunity to delve into ethics, social justice, educational and cross-cultural aspects to advance health related goals.
Global and population health education courses are open to all students at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
MD-MS in Biomedical Sciences Dual Degree Program
The global and population health focus is one of seven tracks of the MD-MS program in Biomedical Sciences.
Fourth-year medical students who are completing a scholarly project or senior elective may choose to work in the global and population health track.
