Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

The Wu Family China Center sponsors a Pilot Award and Postdoctoral Fellow training program in order to stimulate collaborative research between the Columbia University's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S) and Zhejiang University's School of Medicine (ZUSM). Research projects may be basic, clinical/translational, or epidemiological in nature and should address disease processes of importance to population health. Pilot Awards were given in 2018 and 2019 along with support for a Postdoctoral Fellow from ZUSM to train at VP&S for up to one year. Utpal Pajvani, MD, PhD, associate professor of medicine at VP&S, and Chengfu Xu, MD, associate professor in the Department of Gastroenterology at ZUSM, are the co-recipients of the 2019 pilot program award.
